Fun Ways to Get Exercise

You may have noticed when grown ups talk about exercise it usually sounds boring and like a chore. As a kid there are plenty of FUN ways to exercise where you don’t even notice you are doing it.

Sports. Everyone has a favorite sport that like to play. Whether you are playing a fun game of basketball with your friends, running up down the soccer field for you team or riding your bike these are all great ways to exercise.

Swimming. In the summer one of the best ways to cool off is jumping in the pool. There are so many fun games you can play while in the pool. Make sure if you are going to go swimming you have an adult with you.

Playgrounds. Enjoy a day at the park with your friends. There are so many fun things to do on a playground that will give you exercise while you play.

Pets. Taking time and playing with your pet is a cool way of getting exercise for the both of you. Playing fetch or take your pet for a walk are just two examples.

Metro Parks. There are a variety of Metro Parks in Central Ohio that are a great place to get exercise. Ask your parent if you can go for a hike or a bike ride on one of the parks trails.

These are just a few ways to get exercise while having fun.

Don’t waste your summer sitting at home being bored, get out and have FUN!
